Description: There is no date of publication but I am able to surmise a date of 1887 because this is from the "Sunny Hour Series" and the following description of this series is found by Google Books in "Book News", Vol 6 which has publications for the dates Sep 1887 to Aug 1888: "Sunny Hours Series. Six kinds, printed in colors. Each book contains four handsome full page illustrations in oil colors, and numerous plain illustrations, and pretty little stories, in large type. Some of these stories place the children in the position of working people, and afford both instruction and amusement to the little folks. Size 11 x 9 inches. 16 pages, with very bright covers. Price 15 cents each." The front and back covers, and all the pages of the book are shown in the listing photo. If you count the front and rear covers as 2 pages each, there are 16 pages. There are four BEAUTIFUL COLOR ILLUSTRATIONS. There is rust at the staple binding locations, and what looks to be a foxing stain lower left hand corner of the front cover, extending behind it on the first page of text, and sightly on the second and third pages of the book. Generally soiling and light foxing otherwise - see listing photos for details. RARE AND COLLECTIBLE. I cannot find book much less any of the other books in the Sunny Hours Series. EPH
