Rebound in a smart, half morocco binding, with brown cloth to the boards. 'The Prize' was a children's monthly periodical of the nineteenth century, containing stories, poetry and illustrations for children. By various contributors. With a colourful illustration to the title page of each issue, totalling twenty-four colour illustrations, with an additional colour frontispiece. With numerous other vignettes throughout. CONDITION Rebound in half morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, smart, with light bumping to the extremities and the odd mark. Spine has been laid down, with slight rubbing in places. A touch of fading to the head of the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with light age toning and the occasional mark. One or two closed tears.
