Description: This is one of the most beautiful portrait watercolors I have ever owned. It was done in 1883 by German artist Helene Peschel, born in Juterbog, that’s just southwest of Berlin, in 1859. The watercolor measures 17 3/4”x 21 3/4”, signed and dated 1883, in the lower left corner. It’s in a very nice 26 1/2” x 30 1/2” oak frame, behind old wavy and bubbled glass. It’s in amazingly good condition for being 140 years old and has incredible detail inher face and outfit. If interested in viewing it, I have a shop in Southern Rhode Island, just off Rt. 95.
