Threepences were produced both with the "young head" (1838-87) and with the "Jubilee head" (1887-93), inscribed VICTORIA D G BRITANNIAR REGINA F D, while those produced with the "old head" (1893-1901) are inscribed VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP.
