Description: 1880s LES POURQUOI de Mademoiselle Suzanne by Emile Desbeaux. Bound in a beautifully decorated red cloth with gold gilt page edges all around and heavily illustrated. Good overall antique condition as shown, some general wear and discoloration to covers and cover edges/corners. Binding is intact but weak with page breaks along spine and binding threads visible in most areas. Pages are mostly good, a few creases and chips to corners and some yellowing towards edges.
