This edition also features introductions and notes by David Masson, a Scottish academic and historian. CONDITION Bound in a full calf prize binding from 'St Pauls College Stratford' with their crest to the front. Externally very smart with fading to the spines, minimal rubbing to the joints, slight marks to the boards and rubbing and bumping to the extremities of the boards. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned and generally clean pages with spotting to the front and rear. Prize inscription to the front blank to 'Volume I' dated 1880.
