VERY GOOD CONDITION: This is an original full page color plate of CHARLOTTEVILLE, SEWARD VALLEY, GARDNERSVILLE, and CENTRAL BRIDGE contained in the "New Topographical Atlas of Schoharie Co., New York". The large hardcover atlas was from actual surveys by S.N. Beers (Silas Norman) and D.G. Beers (Daniel Grover). See Notes below. The atlas was published by Stone & Steward in Philadelphia in 1866. I have the entire complete Atlas but am selling each plate of a town or village in Schoharie County separately. The images shown are of the book itself, title page, and the actual plate of this listing. Once sold I will remove it from the atlas very carefully, roll it and protect it with plastic. This is not a reprint or copy of the original map. Each plate is over 150 years old! Map plate measures 14.5 x 14.5". Back is blank. Happy to combine shipping. NOTES: S.N. and D.G. Beers were cartographers who produced a series of atlases known as "Beers Atlases". They included a variety of information about the geography and demographics of counties, towns, and villages, including images and locations of farms, mills, schools, businesses, religious establishments and private residences. One of their atlases, The New Topographical Atlas of Schoharie County, New York, was published in 1866 by Stone & Stewart, Philadelphia. It included detailed maps of the county's towns and villages. Daniel Grover Beers (1841-1913) was an American farmer, surveyor and mapmaker active in Conn. His brother was Silas Norman (1837-1873)
