Description: Original mid-to-late 1860s CDV photo showing several buildings in Silver Lake, Indiana. The largest building has a readable sign, "Silver Lake House", which was a hotel. There is a sign above the doorway in the smaller building on the left, but I can't quite make it out. Silver Lake House was a hotel established in 1864.. its first landlord was Orestes B. Turner, who was also the town photographer - his studio imprint is on the back of this image. CDV is 4" x 2.5" and in very good or better antique condition. Boxed & insured PRIORITY MAIL.
