A popular Victorian work, Doyle humorously describes Brown, Jones and Robinson's travels across Europe, including to Switzerland and Italy.Illustrated with eighty leaves, printed on the verso only.Though a prolific illustrator, Doyle was known for being incredibly unreliable, once nearly losing a commission to illustrate Thackeray's 'The Newcomes', due to consistent tardiness. Notably, he designed the masthead for Punch, which was used for over a century. Collated, complete.
