This wonderful bookplate is approximately 3” by 3 ¾”. Also on the bookplate is the initials M.B. Most likely the artist who did the bookplate. Eunice Farley Felton was a close friend of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. This came from an 1819 book, Iliad, Fragments of Pictures. The cover of the book was ruined. I removed the bookplate by flaking the cover apart and then cutting the bookplate from it. The bookplate is toned. This would be a centerpiece to any bookplate collection!
