This is from an enlarged edition with no centerfold, making it great for framing. It is from a circa 1849 Stieler's Hand Atlas, published in Gotha by Justus Perthes, a copy of the title page is included. The map is actually dated 1831, revised in 1843 and 1848 in the title area. Stieler's Hand Atlas appears in the top right margin. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single map as seen in the first pic. Size: The map area measures approximately 12 by 14 inches (30x36cm) on a 14 by 17 1/2" page (37x45cm) Condition: Good condition, blank on reverse, deckled top edge, embossed plate marks in margins, printed on heavy cotton paper with strong original hand color outlining as issued. There are a few handling smudges in the margins, otherwise the map image is fairly clean with a nice antique appearance, see the pics.
