It is from Alan Bell's A New General Atlas, being a Collection of Maps of the World & Various Quarters, published by Alan Beel & Co., in London, 1939. A facsimile copy of the Atlas title page is included for authenticity. The map is dated in the bottom margin with the publishing details as stated: "London, Allan Bell & Co. 1839." It is blank on the reverse. It is not matted, mounted nor framed, being sold as a single large sheet with a centerfold as issued, as shown in the main pic. Overall, a very beautiful map, nicely detailed with strong color on a bright page, considered a very rare map. Size: The map image measures approximately 11 1/2 by 14 inches (29x36cm) on a 14 by 19" (35x48cm) page with a wide margin all around for matting. Condition: It is in Good to Very Good condition for its age, blank on reverse with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. There is a about a 3 inch split along the bottom of the centerfold with a slight crease in the margin and a slight bend on the upper corner, otherwise the map image is very clean with strong color on a bright page, see the pics for more on condition.
