Description: I have here for sale a RARE and beautifully illustrated 3 volume set of books entitled THE NEW NATIONAL GALLERY, TRAFALGAR SQUARE, LONDON - JONES'S SERIES OF ENGRAVINGS FROM PICTURES. There are a remarkable 115 tissue guarded plates ( including the frontispiece), across 2 volumes, the third lists and describes each of the paintings. Each of the plates has pencilled numbers indicating the true size of the painting. Uniformly bound in paper covered boards- these are age soiled. The plate volumes have a clasp. Gilt date on black block to the front boards - a little wear, title lettering to the spine. Plates have foxing. Text pages are clean. These books are in very good condition, tightly bound with no loose or missing pages. Thomas Jones name hand written on the ffeps. A super set 25cm x 31cm, 28cm x22cm Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped. To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my eBay account. You can then request a combined postage cost and I will combine the items into the fewest parcels as possible - saving you money :) My main posting days are Monday and Thursday ie.
