Description: Here's an early free blown pontiled New England globular bottle from the 1820s or 1830s....It is free blown, so has no mold seams....open pontil sunken bottom....crude drippy applied collar....dark olive green blackglass.....out of round shape, almost chestnut.....8 1/2"tall...it has a pair of hairline star cracks on side; one is nearly 1"long, but hard to see unless held in the light at just the right angle. No other damage. A nice clean attic bottle that originally came from an old Connecticut estate..more recently of the reknowned "Digger Dave & Shovelin Shelley Beeler" Collection...haha.
