Thomas Sutherland (c.1785 - 1827) was a British aquatinter and artist who lived and worked in London. Samuel Alken (1756 - 1815) was a British landscape artist and pioneer of aquatint printing. Alken is particularly remembered for his sporting scenes, particularly of hunting, a genre in which his sons, Samuel and Henry Thomas, also worked. Evidence of earlier mounting to corners on verso.
