This event is considered one of the major achievements of the Second Punic War, and one of the most celebrated achievements of any military force in ancient warfare.Jean-Andre Deluc was a Swiss geologist and meteorologist and a fellow of the Royal Society.The book features a well-preserved fold-out map by J. Burdallet. CONDITION In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart, with some light rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the spine and extremities. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
