Description: All 50C/UNI examples were struck from the same dies, Overton 101. About ten times rarer than normal 1813 Half Dollars, this variety is always popular and in high demand! Lightly golden-toned surfaces border on white and feature bright mint luster. Razor-sharp details are very pleasing to the eye, however, light high point weakness and a patch of common reverse weakness obliterating the PLUR of PLURIBUS are seen. A planchet abnormality is seen on the obverse between stars 12 and 13, but appears to be as minted. Overall, a very pleasing piece perfect for the Overton or variety collector alike! - Capped Bust Half Dollar
