Expanded with Landor's response regarding an attack on the first edition. The response is written regarding a poetical satire titled The Dun Cow. The Dun Cow is thought to have been written by his brother Walter Savage Landor in defence of his friend Dr.Samuel Parr who had been offended by The Dun Cow. He fiercely denied writing this text. With errata/corrigenda leaf to rear. This is part one of Landor's text and ends with book six of his poem. CONDITION In a half calf binding. Externally, smart. Rubbing to the joints and extremities. Small loss to the head and tail of spine. Front joint is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned with scattered spots to the first and last few pages and the odd spot throughout.
