Description: I want to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! Trumpeter has created a full line of 1/700 ship subjects, covering many countries and most eras (WWI, WWII, Cold War, Modern). This is the excellent kit of the Russian Navy Slava Class Cruiser Moskva that hit the Soviet fleet (as the Slava) just as I started my time in submarines. She had the typical aggressive appearance of Soviet warships with weapons bristling on every surface. In April 2022, Moskva earned the dubious distinction of being the largest Russian warship to be sunk since WWII. I found dozens of listings for this kit on eBay (mostly from distant overseas sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this kit very quickly. Here is some of what I found out about this wonderfully detailed model: The Trumpeter website shows this kit has over 260 pieces with incredible detail, including a Ka-27 Helix helicopter, full weapons load and a display stand. Typical of Trumpeter ships, the kit can be built as a waterline or a full hull version. They also provide the following information about this marvelous kit: The Project 1164 of missile cruisers was first laid in 1976. The first ship of this class was launched in 1979 at ship yard no. 445, and was commissioned in 1983 under the name Slava. The Slava was finally renamed with Moskva, and re-commissioned with hull number 121 after its overhaul in 2000 as the flag ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. 3 other vessels of this class were launched, the second unit, the Marshal Ustinov, was commissioned with the Northern Fleet in 1986 with hull no 070. The third unit was commissioned to the Pacific Fleet in 1989 under the name Chervona Ukraina, in 1990’s it was renamed 011 Varyag. The fourth and final vessel is still pending, initially to be named Vilna Ukraina. · 264 parts including 12 sprues, upper hull, deck, lower hull and waterline plate· Either waterline or full-hull version can be assembled Scalemates.com shows the stirring box art and tells us this is a 2005 new tooling that has been the basis of eleven releases across the Trumpeter and Pit Road brands. There are links to reviews, aftermarket parts, galleries and references for the Slava Class Cruisers. Sean Hert published what he called a Quick Review on the modelwarships.com site. He gives a brief history of the Slava class, along with the changing names of the ships. There are ten photos of the hull parts and sprues to go along with the decal sheet and the complete instruction set and painting guide. He wished it has PE railings, but was still very excited about the kit, saying: “Yet another impressive kit from Trumpeter. A great price for this nicely detailed, and eagerly awaited subject(s), and much cheaper than the resin options available.” Lars Scharff delivered a detailed In-Box Review on the German-language modellversium.de site. He provides a lengthy background of the Slava class, including technical and armament specs. There are over 20 photos showing the hull parts, whole sprues and close-ups of individual parts revealing fine details. You also get nice shots of the decal sheet and the full-color painting guide. He points out the open windows (portholes) on the superstructure parts and said: “Apart from the minor inconsistencies of the fuselage, the quality of this kit is very good. With etched parts for the large and clearly visible radar antennas, you can certainly build a first-class model. That's why this kit is RECOMMENDED.” This kit is in a nicely decorated 12.5” x 5.5” x 2” box. As you can see from the pictures, the box is still sealed in its original shrink wrap, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit, with over 260 plastic parts, a set of decals and a nice display stand to complete a full hull or waterline hull version of the ill-fated Moskva guided missile cruiser. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays winning bid and for a limited time, this fine item is offered with $6 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions and listings for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
