This beautiful Case measures approx. 3 3/4" x 3 1/4” (outer measurements) and the interior opening accommodates one 1/6 Plate size Image. The molded design on the front and rear of the Case are identical and features a geometric image. This image has flourishes in the corners. The Case is black in color and exceptionally attractive. The design is designated as Berg No. 3-151 and titled "Geometric”. The Case contains a wondeful Tintype featuring a DAPPER YOUNG MAN. This is a FULL SIZE image with the childs left arm restinf on a table. His outfit is high class. HIS EYES ARE CREEPY! This rare and original, 1850's Case is in very good condition. The molded images on both sides are crisp and sharp with light wear. The surfaces retain their original surface shine with some dust present; Case could use a detailed cleaning. Front upper right corner shows small chip. The Case closes squarely and latches tightly.
