This beautiful Case measures approx. 3 1/4" x 3 3/4" (outer measurements) and the interior opening accommodates two 1/6 Plate size Images. The Case contains DUAL SIXTH PATES; a wondeful Ambrotype featuring a beautiful young woman holding a bible and a Daguerreotype of a handsome well dressed young man. This rare and original, 1850's Case is in very good condition. The molded images on both sides are crisp and sharp with light wear. The surfaces retain their original surface finish with some dust present; Case could use a detailed cleaning. All of the corners are sharp and without damage.
