Description: I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I must part with some of my collection. I vividly remember watching Jurassic Park in the theaters when it first came out. The majestic music and mind-blowing CGI dinosaurs made it an awesome experience for the family. It makes me feel old (like a dinosaur) to see this 30th anniversary kit released, but I will get over it. This kit creates a diorama of Ian Malcolm trying to distract the T-Rex from the overturned Jeep (somewhere off-screen) where the kids are trapped. X-Plus Model Kit is a very new company that has put out some really cool subjects and supports their community with free tutorials on assembling and painting these fine models. The two T-Rex videos are in Japanese, but YouTube provides live auto-translate captioning. Even so, you can still get a lot out of them by watching the techniques in action. There are about a dozen listings for this kit on eBay (from a variety of sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this item to you very quickly. Here is what I could find about this outstanding kit from around the web: The X-Plus Model Kit site (xplusmodelkit.com) has a wonderful page for this kit that shows eight photos of a professionally completed diorama and four more showing the plastic parts laid out and assembled, but unpainted. They also provide the length (42cm / 16.5”) and the following marketing blurbs: One of the Largest Land Predators Brought Back from Extinction Meet the T-Rex that made its way onto the big screen in the 1993 film "Jurassic Park". The visitors of "Jurassic Park" were left sitting wide-eyed and paralyzed with fear as this “true dinosaur” made its way to the main road of the tour as the ground trembled beneath its feet. This plastic model kit will bring its collectors the thrill and perhaps even dread that they felt when they witnessed this scene for the first time. An Impressive 1/35 Scale It has been produced in 1/35 scale, the standard for military models. One will be able to truly feel the immense size of the T-Rex’s impressive scale towering next to the famous Dr. Ian Malcom. Bringing You That Signature Plastic Model Kit Feel All parts have been broken down and manufactured with high quality molds to capture the T-Rex’s proportions and intricate details seen in its skin. Plastic became the material of choice thanks to being light weight and highly durable, allowing for the model to be posed standing on one leg which can be a challenging pose to achieve when using PVC or poly resin. Collectors will be able to enjoy the organic feel that this model gives off as the thigh muscles visibly contract as she lifts her legs up and shifts her weight to one side. Straight Out of the Movie We’ve recreated the scene from the film where T-Rex is being lured away with flares as a diorama. This world where one can be seen with prehistoric beasts, rail-lined roads and electrified fences is one that can only be made possible through the universe of “Jurassic Park” where dinosaurs have been born once again into the modern age through technology.Star Trek ships are as popular or mysterious as the infamous Romulan Bird-of-Prey. The villainous ship played a key roll in the STAR TREK: The Original Series episode “Balance of Terror.” The ship’s iconic design and blazing bird graphic have been painstakingly researched to deliver the utmost in authenticity in this snap-together model kit. The kit features all decals needed to decorate the ship accurately. It also includes a dome display base and pictorial assembly instructions. Scalemates.com shows this is a brand-new tooling from 2023. They provide links to a couple of video reviews, but there is no other useful information about the kit. florymodels posted a 13-minute kit review video on YouTube that points out a lot of very nice features, from reinforced corners on the box and carefully packed and protected contents. He reviews the instructions and then the plastic, including the 11-part head and multi-part body sections. You get a great look at the finely detailed surface texture. ZakuAurelius crafted a very nice 12-minute Unboxing and Build Video on YouTube that opens up with a look at the box and the kit contents. After he glues it all together, he shows the assembled T-Rex in detail before it gets painted. He mounts the unpainted dinosaur and Ian Malcolm figure to the diorama base to give you a sense of the scene. matt rendar produced a long (>34 minutes) Build Video on YouTube which starts by pulling out the parts. You don’t see the entire build, but he checks in at a few stages. The bulk of the time is spent on the painting and finishing, which is really where the artistry comes in. It is nice to see the dry-brushing techniques for those of us who have no airbrush experience. This modern kit is in an elaborately decorated box about 13” x 7” x 4”. As you can see from the pictures, the box is in perfect condition and is still sealed with shrink wrap, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete model kit with very detailed plastic parts and a length of wire along with a full diorama base and optional dinosaur stand. It requires paint and glue to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays the winning bid, and for a limited time, I am offering this nostalgic kit with $12 Flat Rate Priority Mail Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
