Boldini is a beloved Italian artist who became popular in Paris and was considered the most fashionable portrait painter in high society France during the late 19th century. The art in this deck highlights some of Boldini's most cherished works. Ms. Poltronieri has collaged additional symbology in with Boldini's work to add Tarot nuances to some of the cards. Each trump has a narrow cream colored border and dark brown portrait frame surrounding the image. The titles are in Italian and are centered in the bottom of the frame, with Roman numeral card numbers above. The standard version (THIS ONE IS THE more limited, special edition with larger cards may also available through the Museo) currently comes in a study gift box. The title card is fastened onto it along with the Museo’s signature hot wax seal. This collector’s set is in homage to Giovanni Boldini and would most likely appeal to fans of his work.
