Description: Award winning - 1985 Elegant Mature Female Doll “Jessie” is 1:3 Scale and measures approximately 20-21” tall. Back of neck signed Yolanda Bello - 1985 Jessie Cognac & Lace. Jessie measures approximately 20-21” tall. She does not have moveable arms and legs, she was made to stay in this position to lay across the fainting couch holding her cognac glass in the air. You can cross and uncross her legs at the ankles to position the feet a couple different ways as pictured. Her satin lingerie is cream colored and it’s beautifully layered in lace adorned with small iridescent beads and pearls. She’s wearing 14kt gold necklace with diamond pendant and earrings. The earrings appear to be 14 karat gold however I’m not able to confirm this because the earrings are not easily removable. I lifted the lingerie and peeked in to see that her nipples on her breasts are also realistically painted but I did not include any pictures. The fainting couch is approximately 18” long x 10” tall. This listing includes Jessie, the fainting couch, and the mini cognac glass, exactly as pictured. When I was handling the doll for photos a few tiny feathers that line the cape came loose and were floating in the air. Jessie is in excellent condition and has been stored and protected from the elements. Photos were taken with and without flash to highlight the details. Any questions please message me I would be happy to answer them. Here is some information I found on the internet about “Jessie” and her talented artist, Yolanda Bello. “Jessie” was the 1985 DOTY winner for Doll Design Concept sponsored by Doll Reader MAGAZINE. Her winning doll was featured on “The Today Show and highlighted in USA Today. Yolanda Bello, whose dolls are critically acclaimed for their realism, their sculptural excellence, and their rich depth of emotion, says that her goal is to design dolls that “achieve purity of expression”. Yolanda Bello’s work as a doll maker is known to sophisticated doll collectors throughout the country. She has won many prizes for her dolls in major juried exhibitions, including Best of Show awards. The clothing, jewelry, props and furniture were designed by the artist for each piece she created. The company she founded, Bello Creations, produced her more expensive limited edition studio pieces but she also designed dolls which were produced in mass editions.
