Who Wand From The Wand Company Things you will need: You will need a soldering iron, some flux and a solder pump, small tweezers or small flat head screwdriver is helpful as well. A flat razor blade is also helpful. Have some contact cement to put the battery back in place. Note: Please refer to the last 3 steps so you know what we are trying to achieve before moving forward. Step 1. Using your small flat head screwdriver or razor blade, stick it between the metal coupling below the top slide out piece and gently pry the coupling loose. Once the coupling is off the entire unit will slide out from the wand. Step 2. You will now have the main plastic unit removed from the wand. Inspect the unit carefully. You will see several indented clips on the side. Using your screwdriver gently press down on those clips to pry the unit in half. Step 3. Once you have the unit in half you will see several parts, The speaker with cover, Button presser with a small clear plastic piece (Light Reflector), blue plastic side piece, and the main board with the battery. Carefully unsolder the battery and remove it. The battery is also stuck on the board with adhesive, so be sure to be gentle. Once you have the battery removed using your soldering pump clean the area until you have 2 positive and negative contact holes. Step 4. Take out your new battery and add your flux to each positive and negative contact hole. Take the red wire from the battery and put it in the positive contact hole and add a bead of solder to secure it in place. Repeat the same step with the black wire from the battery on the negative contact hole. Once the battery is in place secure it to the board using a small dab on contact cement. Step 5. Take the circuit board with the battery and place it in one side of the wand casing. Make sure you push the wires around so they fit, also make sure the top plastic wand lamp is placed secure, you might have to move some wires around. Place the speaker cover on either way as it fits both ways. Take the other side of the wand and close it but not all the way. Step 6. If you did everything correctly you should have the wand partially closed with the clear plastic button piece (Light Reflector) as well as the button sitting to the side Along with the blue side piece. Take the light reflector piece and place it with the plastic nub faced forward, this plastic nub reflects the LED light to the top of the button. You might have to open the wand slightly wider to get it just right. Once you get it just right take the button with the longer arm and fit it over the plastic reflector with the long arm facing up towards the lamp. Once you get it right close the entire unit and clip it back together and set it to the side. Step 7. Take the larger wand shaft and the blue piece. The blue piece has a square on the end. Place this piece into the slot with the square facing you. Place the coupling over the unit you previously worked on and gently slide it into the wand shaft. Step 8. Gently fasten the coupling back unto the wand top to complete the entire procedure. After that slide the wand back and forth slowly to make sure everything is working properly. ITEM#4089
