It's French and dates from the late 1800's or very early 1900's, it is in EXCELLENT condition ~The tone is a rose tone, a dusty pinkish burgundy ( I have the matching side panel to this, to view simply search my store for the word Dusty Rose tone and it will appear ~ it's a GORGOEUS color ! And the large scale damask pattern adds to the charm immensely ~ The fiber content is a cotton and silk blend. There is a wonderful, 19th century hand woven gold metallic trim that runs down the side and bottom. The damask is a very heavy weight, it's not backed but the fabric in reverse is gorgeous too, so it can be used with the back exposed ~ this textile is a treat and a half! MEASUREMENTS : This textile measures approximately : 101 inches long,. 75 inches wide at the bottom and the top has some pleats so is about 66 inches wide ~ CONDITION: This textile is in as found not freshly cleaned condition.
