Description: 1000+ Mint and Used Postage Stamps from Panama - 1940s - 1960s This auction includes a large selection of postage stamps from the country of Panama. Most of these stamps are in used condition and look to be from the 1940s - 1960s. Some will be older and some will be newer. There is a significant number of unused stamps in the mix. I did see a few stamps from other Central American countries in the mix as well as some older stamps with " Canal Zone " printed on the face. The photo shows three groups of stamps. I counted 529 singles. There are 73 stamps that are hinged to the pages. There are 95 envelopes or cards. Some of the glassines have only a single stamp, but some have a large number of stamps. I did not count the number of stamps in the envelopes, but a conservative estimate of 10 stamps per envelope would put this group as having more than 1,000 stamps. It would not surprise me if the total number of stamps exceeded 1,500 or even more. Anyway, it will take some time to sort through everything, so have fun. (panstamps02) This lot has both used and unused stamps. There may be a few faults in the mix, but most of the stamps are sound and there are a fair number of unused stamps in the lot.
