Description: 100 Sabal minor seeds. These were grown from our own palms here in zone 7b/8a Western NC. Our oldest palms are more than 30 years old and have formed short trunks. Sabal minors are native throughout the southeast from North Carolina to Oklahoma down into Texas and Mexico. There are many varieties but all are quite hardy and easy to grow. These will get to at least 6 feet tall and 6 feet wide with seed stalks about twice that height. They are drought tolerate once established but also are naturally occurring in swamps . Sabals love summer heat but are hardy to at least 0F for short durations, easily growing in zones 7a to 10. Sabals are great for attracting birds which love the seeds and many pollinators which love the flowers.
