Description: This is a gorgeous remnant piece of 100% Belgian Linen fabric from a family weaving mill in Flanders, Belgium, 192gsm weight. It is NOT Belgian flax. The color is a cream or light ivory. This color is one of my favorite natural linen color because it’s just so cozy and reminds you of a romantic French bedroom. Size 24” x 33” What’s special about this fabric is that it is designed for interior design such as curtains and drapes. The weave is slightly loose but the grain extremely even at the same time, similar to high quality embroidery linen (will be good for embroideries!). This particular weave creates a very beautiful fall and drape, and is less prone to wrinkles, which is why it’s used almost exclusively for interior design purposes. I’ve sampled literally hundreds of linen from all over the world and I have to say that this is the very first time I saw a light medium weight (155gsm - 195gsm) linen fabric with this kind of a weave (typically only 300+gsm linen fabrics have it), which makes it very special. You just need to hold it in your hands to see just how special it is. Retailing over 100 USD per meter I have hand sewn two hankies/napkins from this gorgeous fabric. Available in my store.
