Description: Hi, up for auction is a ROTAX 912-S3 01 ENGINE . Its the newer model engine made in 2015 with the new style cylinder heads and valve covers. This motor is in exellent running condition and was always serviced regularly by certified aircraft technicians . It was removed from a Diamond DA-20 Katana at 1736 hours so it still has 264 hours before reaching its TBO of 2000 hours. This means you can use this engine commecially for the next 264 hours or 6 years ( whichever comes first ). Of course there are no restrictions on TBO hours if you just use the engine for your private aircraft. You can use it for as many hours as you like in a private aircraft and you are also allowed to do your own maintenance on it then. The only reason this engine was removed with still 264 hours before reaching its TBO, is because the Katana was due for the big 6000 hour inspection. So it was decided to change the engine at the same time and have a completly fresh aircraft. The log book and original airworthiness certificate for this engine will be included.
