Description: 10 Stems of Guppy Grass (Najas guadelupensis) These plants are grown in a mature planted aquarium setting (>10 yrs) with the water temperature around 76-78F. These are easy plants for beginners that provide excellent cover for shy fish or young fry. These stem plants can be grown by placing them in the substrate or free floating. They are a fast growing stem plant which is great for providing background cover in your aquarium as well as hiding places for young fry and shrimp. I like to use these plants as a background filler to make my planted tanks look "fuller" in the early stages. In mild climates they do great year-round in outdoor ponds as well. You will be receiving a bundle of 10 plant stems of around 8 to 10 inches in length. Please note that since these are plants there will be variation in the sizes and look. This bunch gives you a good start on filling up a nano aquarium (~5gal or less). I would say two bunches is a good start for a 10 gallon. I've had success growing these in high light and low light systems, though, so even if you start out with a small amount they should grow quickly!.Once they reach the water surface you can cut them down to your desired length and replant those cuttings! There is a possibility that the plants might include little critters, like snails, daphnia, copepods, etc. so please be aware of that. I can inspect them closely if you would like, but there are no guarantees that they are critter free. Shipment / DOA All packages will be shipped with a box containing insulating material, but please keep an eye on your shipment to make sure that you will be there to bring the package inside. Shipping is via USPS Ground Advantage, but if you live >300 mi from CA I highly recommend USPS Priority Flat Rate (this option includes a padded envelope along with an additional box inside for protection). If you order on Saturday, the package won't be sent out until Monday. If anything changes outside of this schedule I will let you know. If you find that the plants are all brown/yellow and not healthy or dying, please message me within 3 hours of delivery along with a picture of the plants.
