Description: 10+ Sprouting Seeds Quercus cornelius-mulleri Acorns - Muller Scrub Oak The Muller Oak is native to southern California and Baja California, where it grows in chaparral, oak woodlands, and other habitat in the foothills and mountains. It is a densely branched bushy shrub not usually exceeding 10 feet in height. The evergreen leaves are leathery, thick and bicolored; white and wooly on the undersides and dull grey or yellow-green and fairly hairy on the upper surfaces. You will receive 10 (plus a couple extra) sprouting Muller Oak acorn seeds (quercus cornelius-mulleri) from southern California similar to those shown in the pictures. These seeds are the crop from fall / winter 2023 and have been stored in the refrigerator. These acorns are elongated in shape and approximately 1/2 to 1 inch wide and 1 to 1 1/4 inches long - the pictures show how they can vary from plant to plant. These are all sprouting and will have an exposed radicle or a cracked base where it is beginning to sprout. If not planted right away, they should be stored in the refrigerator. They will be padded and shipped in a cushioned envelope via USPS Ground Advantage. I didn't plant the oaks that these acorns were gathered from. I determined their classification through research about the various oak trees / bushes that grow in my area of southern California, comparison of their leaves, seeds, growth habit, bark and location where they were gathered.
