You will need two hammers similar to the ones shown. One hammer must be an 8oz. ball peen hammer or smaller. Larger than 8oz will be harder to achieved the desired results. Insert the top piece as shown. Insert the bottom piece as shown (bottom piece must be inserted in the direction shown for best results. Lay cymbal on a solid surface. Wood surface works best. Rest ball peen hammer on the grommet as shown. Hit ball peen hammer with the other hammer 2-4 times. This grommet is intended for a quick and inexpensive fix. There are tools that are designed to install this type of grommet for a more professional installation. This is intended for a cheaper alternative and for those who already have the types of hammers shown. This is NOT recommended if you do not have the appropriate hammers shown or if you are not experienced with hand tools.
