Uses:Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream 1% w/w is used to treat fungal skin infections such as athlete’s foot, white spots, ringworm, fungal infection of the tissues adjacent to the nails, fungal infection of the skin folds & erythrasma (skin redness/irritation).Directions for use:Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press.If the feet are infected, they should be washed and dried thoroughly especially between the toes before applying the cream. Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream 1% w/w should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected areas two or three times daily and rubbed in gently.A strip of cream (1/2 cm long) is enough to treat an area of about the size of the hand.The symptoms of skin infection, such as itching or soreness, should improve within a few days of treatment although signs such as redness and scaling may take longer to disappear.Even if your symptoms have started to clear up, you should complete the full course of treatment to ensure that the infection has been fully treated.Athlete’s foot, ringworm, fungal infection of the tissues adjacent to the nails, fungal infection of the skin folds : Use for 3-4 weeks or as directed by physician.Erythrasma (skin redness/irritation) : Use for 2-4 weeks or as directed by physician.White spots : Use for 1-3 weeks or as directed by physician.Patients should notify their physician if there is no improvement after 4 weeks of treatment.
