This Granite was left behind from volcanic activity and pushed by the massive glaciers that carved our Great Lakes into the Earth. We collect these stones that have been tumbled by the waves of Lake Superior from our Bay Mills Community all along the shores to Grand Marais. -- Discovery Story All of our Granite is ethically sourced from the beaches along Lake Superior. We travel from the private beaches of the Bay Mills Indian Community all the way to the National Beaches of Gumshoes and Grand Marais. These stones are perfectly tumbled by the powerful waves of the lake and are never crushed by heavy machinery.
