The major engagement diamond is set in yellow gold and measures approximately 5.6 - 5.7 mm in diameter and 3.3 mm in depth with an actual weight of 0.67 carat. It is light yellow in color, graded at O/P. Yellowish diamonds face up a little whiter when set in a yellow gold channel or bezel. The diamond also exhibits very strong blue fluorescence, which will make it appear a little whiter in daylight. The diamond is eye clean with a clarity graded at VS-2. The cut is a little "spready", but we would still call it good in cut. The shallower cut gives the diamond a larger diameter, so it has the look of a more expensive diamond in the 3/4 carat range. The side and band diamonds are well matched with a manufacturer's stated combined weight of 0.71 carat. These diamonds are nearly colorless with an average color graded at I/J. They are eye clean with an average clarity graded at SI-1 and are well cut; just really nice, sparkly diamonds! Total diamond weight of the wedding set is stated at 1.38 carats.
