Mel Fisher's Hologram Numbered # 20248 In 1622 one of the wealthy passengers loaded a small lead box containing a fortune in pearls aboard The Santa Margarita. On that faithful day of Sept 4th, 1622, these pearls, a small part of a vast treasure was lost to the sea. The pearls would remain lost for nearly four centuries. On June 10th, 2007, moving farther north than previous searches, the primary search vessel, The Blue Water Rose, made discoveries of elaborate gold artifacts, chains, jewelry, gold bars, rare silver coins, and one of The Santa Margarita's most serendipitous hidden treasure, a lead box still scaled. Once gently opened it contained a staggering number of rare and valuable pearls, which were not on the ships manifest - now believed to have originated from the pearl island of Margarita.
